The Finance Minister said that the rates of GST on some new products and some goods and services will increase from July 18.

From July 18, agricultural products with pre-packaged labels like paneer, lassi, buttermilk, packaged curd, wheat flour, other cereals, honey, papad, food grains, meat and fish (except frozen), puffed rice and jaggery will become costlier. . That is, the tax on them has been increased. Currently, 5 per cent GST is levied on branded and packaged food items, while unpacked and unlabeled items are tax free. These things will be expensive
Tetra pack curd, lassi and butter milk will be expensive, as it will attract 5% GST from July 18, which was not applicable earlier.
Fees charged by banks on issue of check book will now attract 18% GST.
5 per cent GST will be levied on rooms rented above Rs 5,000 (non-ICU) in a hospital.
Apart from this, GST will now be levied at the rate of 12 percent on maps and charges including atlas.
12 per cent GST will be levied on hotel rooms renting less than Rs 1,000 per day, which was not levied earlier.
- LED lights will attract 18 percent GST on LED lamps which was not levied earlier.
- Blades, paper scissors, pencil sharpeners, spoons, forked spoons, skimmers and cake-servers, etc., earlier attracting 12 per cent GST, will now attract 18 per cent.
These things will be cheaper
- From July 18, it will become cheaper to carry passengers and goods through the ropeway, because the GST rate on it has been reduced from 18 percent to 5 percent.
GST on splints and other fracture devices, body prostheses, body implants, intra-ocular lenses has been reduced from 12 per cent to 5 per cent.
GST will be reduced from 18 per cent to 12 per cent on fares of operators carrying freight from the cost of fuel.
IGST will not be applicable on certain items imported for Defense Forces.
