Today is the first day of Navratri and Goddess Shailputri will be worshiped on this day along with Ghatasthapana or Kalash installation. Navratri will end on 5 October 2022. Auspicious time for Ghatasthapana

Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month has started. Today, on the first day of Navratri, the auspicious time of Ghatasthapana or Kalash establishment has started from 06.28 am on Monday, 26 September, which will continue till 08.01. After this, there will be a Muhurta from 9.12 am to 10.42 am. On the other hand, the Abhijit Muhurta of Ghatasthapana will be from 11.48 am to 12.36 am.


Sharadiya Navratri Kalash Establishment Worship Method


For setting up the Kalash in Navratri, put soil in a wide earthen pot and after that add 7 types of grains in it. Pour soil over it again and spread it well in the pot. Add some water too. Then tie Kalava in a Kalash and fill Gangajal in it till the top. Put betel nut, perfume, durva grass, akshat and coins in this urn. Before covering the Kalash, keep 5 leaves of Ashoka or Mango leaves in the Kalash. Then wrap a jaded coconut in a red cloth and tie Kalava in it. Place it over the Kalash and pray for the arrival of Maa Durga. After this light a lamp and offer flowers etc. Offer garlands of flowers to Maa Durga. In the end, perform aarti of Maa Durga. It would be better to light a Akhand Jyoti too, but it should not be extinguished for 9 days.
