Madhusudan Mistry, chairman of the Congress's Central Election Authority, said that around 96 percent voting took place, although there may be some changes after the complete figures come out.


Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are the candidates in this election. Voting will take place on 19 October. Kharge's claim is being considered strong due to his close proximity to the Gandhi family and the support of many senior leaders. Rahul Gandhi cast his vote at the voting center built in the rest room of the container related to the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Bellary, Karnataka.
